If you ever NEED to uninstall/reinstall FSX again, you can simply copy your backed up virgin FSX bact to where ever you want. Got as far as doing the missiom/tutorial 8 'Transitioning to Jets', failed it, and now any of my free flights since then are not listed under Free Flight->Load, only if I go to missions and select Tutorial 8 with 'Show Saved Missions' clicked. External HD, DVD's, a seperate drive, whatever. I have exactly the same problem, just installed FSX a few weeks ago. Once you have FSX installed, BEFORE you put anything back into it, make a back-up of the "virgin" installation someplace safe. Scenery, gauges, AIplanes, TTools, whatever. If you DO decide to uninstall FSX, make sure you back up ALL your add-ons first.
Heck there's even a Repair function on the install disks. Uninstalling/reinstalling FSX should be a last ditch effort. If you want to put all your downloaded missions into a new category, other than having to look for them in all the FSX default categories, just download and install cause that's exactly what this program does. I've heard of drivers causing FSX to crash/not load. Try rolling back you drivers to the previous version, and see if that fixes your problem. Just put "Logbook" into the Search engine for the Library here. IF that is the problem there are some softwares that will "fix" the logbook.bin file. Make sure that with every add-on you uninstall ANY thing it added too: effects, gauges, everything it added.Īnd don't delete your Logbook.bin.
Whatever you installed LAST, uninstall FIRST.ĭo that, in order, scenery, aircraft, effects, anything you added.Įvery one thing you uninstall, see if FSX will load. Before you do, try uninstalling you latest add-ons.
